Alumni contacts, ambassadors, and volunteers give their time and are willing to serve as liaisons for MSU in their region and/or country. Planning activities and events is not a requirement, but is welcome and encouraged. Optional involvement may be requested by the university to assist with prospective student recruitment efforts.

Alumni contacts, ambassadors, and volunteers may be asked to be involved in any or all of the following ways:

• Watching for and identifying MSU alumni that may live in your region and/or country
• Collecting data when meeting with alumni and sharing that information with the Office for International Advancement and MSU Alumni Association, so that records can be updated
• Allowing the Office for International Advancement and MSU Alumni Association to share your contact information with alumni who may be returning or moving to your region and/or country
• Permitting MSU to share your contact information with students, faculty, and staff visiting your region and/or country, so that they may seek information and assistance with their travel plans
