Global MSU Postponement Announcement
A Message to MSU International Alumni and Friends
Over the past few weeks, the Office for International Advancement has received a number of questions regarding the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the Global MSU reunion in Seoul, Korea. After consulting with President Stanley, Associate Provost and Dean Steve Hanson, MSU's Office for International Health and Safety, and alumni leaders, it has been decided to postpone the event until May 21–23, 2021.
MSU's top priority is the health and safety of MSU alumni, donors, faculty, and staff. The goal of this gathering was to create a global reunion—one that brings together Spartans from all over the world. While Korea is not under specific travel restrictions at this time, the uncertainty lingering over the event is impeding travel arrangements and threatens its success. Our hope is to create the largest international alumni reunion in MSU's history and it's unfortunately not feasible given these conditions.
MSU is deeply grateful for the enthusiasm Global Spartans have conveyed around the Global MSU reunion. We hope that you will save the new dates and join us next year.
We sincerely apologize for this unfortunate change and thank you for understanding. If you have questions or concerns regarding the reunion, please contact Daniel Spadafore, senior director of international advancement.
Sincerely,
Office for International Advancement
